마시멜로를 애들한테 주고, 내가 돌아올 때 까지 참고 있으면 하나 더 주겠다고
했을 때 더 잘 참는 아이가 더 성공한다.
이미 여러 책에서 읽었던 내용이라서 선뜻 읽기를 망설였었다.
영문판이니까 영어읽기 연습삼아 읽어 보았다.
그런데, 이것 머리를 한대 맞는 느낌이다.
많은 번역서들이 원저자의 생생한 느낌을 잘 살리기 어렵다.
그래서 원문을 읽어본 독자들이 원문을 직접 읽어 보라고 권한다.
생각나는 문장을 적어보자면,
Successful people keep their promises.
There only six ways to get other people to do things;
by laws, because of money, by physical force, by emotional pressure,
physical beauty or by persuasion. Of all these ways, persuasion is the most
powerful. It takes you to another level.
What am I willing to do today to become successful tomorrow?
아는 것이 힘이다. 아는 것을 실행하는 것이 힘이다.
